The sound of perdition echoes through my head
Denying the truth right in front of my eyes
So evil and wicked this world seems to me
When your life takes a shift fast and unforeseen
Wake me up from this nightmare
Set me free from this cruel reality
Something snapped in my brain
Overflown by a blinding fury
In a burst of despair
drifting me into insanity
When your last breath has gone
getting consumed by anxiety
Cannot take a step back
Slowly learning that all life is fragile
Why now? How on earth do I deserve this?
Why her? Am I haunted by the god of misfortune?
Why now? I’m just a shell of my former self
Why her? Beseech the devil as all life decays
Sadness has taken control
Words can’t express my grief
In sorrow I’d cast all away
The only way I feel embraced
Can’t I take back control?
Isn’t there a possibility?
Can’t I take a step back?
Leaving me without dignity
Why am I doomed to fail?
Am I travelling through agony?
What is left in the end?
Will I ever find my peace of mind?
Extremely technical, packed with neat little details and, thanks to Kevin's more approachable/straight-forward drumming, a real joy. Strongly recommended for fans of tech-death willing to invest some time ;) v.v
Since Spenser Moore replaced Blackburn I’ve frankly appreciated Inferi far more. I feel that his drumming improves the overall sound of the band a great deal, but it’s probably just a personal style preference. Either way, Of Sunless Realms was a great foreshadowing of the epic Vile Genesis. Metallurgical Fire
